Change

Closing the book on a big portion of my life was initially annoying, frustrating, then I realized it was self propelled, expected, the better option.

The landscape is now altered. I must carve out new patterns, mark the moon, learn a new language. Maybe the package of what is to come is a good package, and what will make me happier. But sometimes change is just change. It takes effort and determination. A lot of energy. 

I'm excited.

Always good to get out of your own head and have a reminder of how good we have it.

Have you been reading the recent posts on HONY?  They have been devastating. Hard to imagine living in that kind of environment. Makes everything we face seem small in comparison.

Kitchen Office Chair

We have a small desk area in the kitchen which has been without a chair, oh, for about a year now. This little cutie popped up on a local buy, sell, and trade site. I think it goes perfectly and was only $20. I do love a good deal, but I love it even more when it is exactly what I was looking for.

PS - Has anyone else noticed this to be a very emotional month full of cranky babies? No? Just my house?

Mail Slot Happiness

Having this small detail fixed and finished makes me so very happy. It is a bit absurd how happy it makes me. I stop and stare lovingly when I am near it.

Yows! She's a busy busy lady.

I like it, I just think it will take some getting used to. I was leaning towards the dark grey and white stripe, but we felt it would get too easily damaged and dirty, so we voted this girl the winner. I think I would like the grey and white better, but with two kids and a hallway, this was the right choice.

Holy moly, I just noticed how bad our baseboards look because we haven't caulked and finished them off yet. Don't look at them!

I figure that will be a winter task since it can be done while raining outside. I'm betting on this year being the Bruce Lee El Nino...
