Apple Picking & More

It felt so great to be home and make time for something fun we could all do together, not just work on the house. Although it is still warm out, not much fall in the air yet, it was fun doing a fall activity.

Before we set out, Tony and Harper were on pancake duty. Plain and blueberry were the options. It felt so nice using our kitchen and also eating delicious pancakes. A small taste of a return to our normal life. P.S. - No, the kitchen isn't finished. The blue tape is for the backsplash design...and the shelves still need to be sealed before we can put anything on them. Torture I tell you!!! It's on the list for this weekend.

Once at the apple orchard, we walked through the rows, looking for the good ones to take home with us. The trees were low, which made picking very easy for Harp and for us too. We got enough for a pie and a few left over to snack on.

New haircut. Woot!

Otto looks almost as big as Harper. He's a big boy.

Apple Blossoms

We left the baby snail there.

We are still unpacking and setting up the house, in the areas that are finished enough to do this in. So, Halloween this year was sadly minimal. We had a great day on Halloween, but the house wasn't celebrating with us. I think there were only two decorations on display. A very very sad showing in my opinion, but we had nowhere to put said decorations, even if we did bring them down from the attic.

Very wet, yet happy kiddos. The adults had wine and a ridiculously good Thai soup our friend made, and the littles had pizza with soup and carrots on the side. Tony and Harper dressed up, I put on some makeup and a witch hat...next year. This is my mantra.
